“ Helen and James Dooley aren’t newcomers to the garden design scene. Over the last decade they have put their stamp on more than 50 gardens ranging from City courtyard to country retreat, earning a reputation for dynamic imaginatively planted designs.
The English landscape is at the core of everything Helen and James do. “We aim for our work to look very natural, and we think in terms of plants rather than hard landscaping , “ says Helen who provides the main designing impetus into the partnership. “ But we don’t want our work to be cliché, and we like to think obliquely to come up with something a bit different, using natural materials in unusual ways to create a new twist.”

All the press attention and famous clients are great , but for the Dooleys its all about the plants and garden. They would really like to live in a wood and make jam, but an appointment with Princess Lowenstein looms and Prada are turning up at 3.
